Get in swimsuit shape for summer with your favorite celebrities with an all new season of “Celebrity Fit Club.” VH1’s popular fitness, nutrition and drama series is back for a fifth season premiering in April 2007.

Ready to shed their inhibitions’ and a few pounds the “Celebrity Fit Club 5″ cast is set to climb on the giant scales as they throw their weight around and compete for cash and prizes. This season’s cast includes Maureen McCormick (The Brady Bunch), Dustin Diamond (Saved By The Bell), Tiffany (pop star), Cledus T. Judd (country music artist), Da Brat (Hip Hop Artist), Ross “The Intern” Mathews (The Tonight Show), Kimberley Locke (American Idol) and Warren G (rapper). This spring will have them embarking on their own grueling fitness journeys while also working together to reach their fitness goals.

The cast for season five of “Celebrity Fit Club” is our fittest yet so drill sergeant Harvey Walden IV has plans to work them harder than ever. Also back are nutritional & diet expert, Dr. Ian Smith and host ANT and this season we have a new psychotherapist, Stacy Kaiser.

Two-time CMA winner Carrie Underwood will be the featured performer for the 10th annual, nationally televised Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game half-time show to officially kick off the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Christmas fundraising campaign for 2006.

Since 1997, the Red Kettle campaign has been launched each year as part of a special live concert at Texas Stadium during the traditional NFL holiday game, this year pitting the Cowboys against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  As part of this year’s celebration, Ms. Underwood will perform songs from her quadruple platinum album, Some Hearts.

It was announced earlier this week on KellyClarkson.com two-time Grammy winner Kelly Clarkson will be singing the National Anthem prior to kickoff.

File this under ‘Strange Compliments’:  In an e-mail update to ’The Tyra Banks Show’ mailing list,  Tyra was complaining about her bad breath. She then wrote, “Someone that has the freshest clean smelling breath is Clay Aiken. I know cuz he came on my show, and I had one of the most fun interviews with him that I have ever had. I am so in love with him. He is so funny, loving and just darn amazing. He even sang with me. Yes, we did a duet. I was awful. He sounded like an angel. Clay has the most loyal fans in the world. They call themselves ‘Claymates’. I told Clay I am a “Clay-frican American,” meaning that I am an African American that loves Clay Aiken. Get it? You gotta see how much fun we had. The show airs next Wednesday, November 22nd.”

It sounds like Tyra was still a bit ‘Clungover’ from the interview!

Clay Aiken’s appearance on ‘Days of Our Lives’ has been postponed to December 26th.  Clay was originally scheduled to appear on December 22nd.

According to her official web site, Kelly Clarkson will perform the National Anthem before the Dallas Cowboys vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL game on Thanksgiving Day.  The game will be aired on FOX.  I wonder who Kelly will be cheering for?  Hmmm…

Taylor Hicks will give a special accoustic performance at the GIMME SHELTER BENEFIT 2006 at the Roxy Theatre presented by KCRW. Featuring The Cold War Kids, The Like, Mellowdrone, Simon Dawes, and Starsailor. Benefitting The Spectrum Program and Red Cross.  Taylor’s album drops the same day…I hope he can still perform as scheduled.

Diana DeGarmo will perform “The Pharaoh Strut” on The King Tutenstein float during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.  Contributions to the project include: Juilliard composer Lance Horne, lyrics by Bill Schermerhorn, choreography by Movin’ Out’s Tiger Martina, orchestrated by the legendary Milton DeLugg, and featuring Grammy Award-winning Phoenix Boys Choir.

Taylor Hicks‘ debut album will be released on December 12, not December 5th as originally planned.

Clay Aiken will be lighting the UNICEF Snowflake in New York City on November 18. The UNICEF snowflake is the largest outdoor chandelier and has 16,000 prisms.
