Ace Young’s private Red Carpet Birthday Bash and benefit was held last night in Hollywood. The party was not open to the public, even the location was kept under wraps, so to the boards I go to rustle up some unofficial informatiion!
Highrollers With Heart, an Ace fan charity, raised over $27,000 in just under one month’s time (WOW!) and presented an emotional Ace with the “check” on stage. The crowd danced to hip hop, Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, etc., but Ace did not perform (apparently Ace wasn’t feeling too hot). Not sure if it was Ace’s highlight of the night, reports are he looked uncomfortable, but the four-girl lap dance was a hit with the crowd! A gift from best bud Chris Daughtry, maybe??
It was a star-studded event with plenty of Idols on hand. Anthony Federov, Paris Bennett, Lisa Tucker, Elliott Yamin and many more stars reportedly were in attendance. Well, happy birthday, Ace! And Congratulations to Highrollers With Heart for a successful fundraising campaign!

I don’t appreciate your publishing of the lap dance video. Ace said he wants to be a role model, and this sure doesn’t show him in this light. Also, I don’t like your implication that it was Chris’ present to him. By Ace’s own words, Chris is an honorable man, who is faithful to his wife, and I very much doubt that he would stoop so low to give his close friend such a “gift.”

People lighten up! He’s not a saint. Let the man have some fun. It’s hard enough trying to live up to unreasonable expectations as it is. He’s 26 yrs. old and can’t live for the fans. I didn’t see too many complaints when he hosed himself down with the water bottle, so why the uproar over a seemingly innocent dance? He looks dog tired and wore out. Let him have some fun and lets leave his private life alone.

Ace is a role model and this lapdance doesn’t change that. He didn’t choose this “gift” someone else did. The implication of Chirs setting up the lapdance was just a speculation. Chris is one of Ace’s best friends so it is not unreasonable to think that he would set something like this up. I don’t think the author is trying to take a stab at Chris’s character here. Besides, I think it was big bro Ryan who set it up.LOL!

The video was mine. I have taken it down due to the wishes of the Youngs. Though Ace had told me initially that he would see it online later, obviously someone changed their mind somewhere down the road. Since the video made me a little uncomfortable due to the controversy it was causing anyway, I’ve taken it down both out of respect to the Youngs and for my own sanity.
I don’t think this whole thing changed Ace’s “role model” status, as has been said; he didn’t set it up, and he was obviously uncomfortable with it the whole time. I know there has been speculation that it was Ryan, but personally, I don’t think this is something that Ryan would do either. While I don’t *know* who was behind it, I do have my educated guess, and that person was not Ryan, IMO.
On the up side, the check presentation was very emotional. You can really see how much this charity work means to Ace. He teared up and I know many of us did as well. Brooke (the Highrollers with Heart coordinator) braved her case of laryngitis to deliver a touching speech. Ace later called Lisa Tucker and Elliott Yamin up on stage and told them how grateful and lucky he felt to have met them and spent his summer with them. It was a beautiful moment.
Let’s not forget what this party was actually about; celebrating the birth of a wonderful and talented man, and honoring the work that he does to benefit sick children
