BFFs (Best Friends Forever for the uncool) Amanda Coluccio and Antonella Barba came across as your typical Jersey girls. Now I’m not saying being a Jersey girl is a bad thing, but even before it was announced where they were from I knew. They tried a little duo and quite frankly they tanked it. When they each did their solo auditions they were better but I don’t see them making the next cut. Enjoy your trip to Hollywood ladies, it’s gonna be a short one!
Yes, those were the words straight out of my mouth. Well if the spoiler sites are right then Antonella Barba has made the top 12 females list. That doesn’t sound like a short trip to me. I’ll be the first to eat my words and say “Hey, look, I was wrong about her.” Granted she was the better, though less trained, of the two according to Simon Cowell and I did agree on that point. I’m looking forward to the Hollywood rounds to see how she wowed the judges.
There’s not a lot out there on the web about Antonella Barba, she has her new Myspace page on lockdown but evidently she’s chosen to leave her old Myspace page open. It looks like prior to American Idol she was a student at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC majoring in architecture. Ohhh…beauty, brains, and evidently a nice voice. Multi-talented indeed.
