Marisa Rhodes, a 22 year-old from Bethlehem, PA, might just be the next American Idol. Sources at idolforums.com have been sleuthing to determine which contestants made the cut late last month. Rhodes auditioned in New York; her song of choice was Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” The judges didn’t need her to make them love her as they already did – she was given her golden ticket and was Hollywood bound. Evidently Ms. Rhodes did fantastic in Hollywood making it as one of the top 12 females.
So what is her style of music? If you go to Marisa Rhodes’ Myspace page you’ll see that she says “A little blues and a little rock and roll”. When asked about her audition, Rhodes said “I was the first person to go in. I was nervous and my hands were shaking. It was the first time I was at a loss for words. It was really, really weird. I’m still in total awe.”
News station WFMZ interviewed Rhodes and filmed her during a live performance – she has a fantastic voice and it is easy to see why rumors place her in the top 24. Check her out yourself – WFMZ Interview.

Thanks Nicolo - I just pulled those up this morning. It looks like the one that predicted Marisa recanted and apologized for his mistake. Crazy how accurate these folks can sometimes be.
