The first round ends with four people being eliminated and 20 moving on. Over 24 million Americans voted and here are the four whose American Idol dreams were crushed tonight.
Allison Iraheta performed her new single Scars.
Chris Allen performed Let It Be. His performance will be available on iTunes and 100% of the proceeds will go to the relief effort for Haiti. Also, people can donate by going to www.AmericanIdol.com and following the links, as well as texting the word IDOL to 20222 ($10 charge on your phone bill.) A video played in the background of his time there volunteering. It was a moving performance.

Somehow Tim Urban managed to squeak by and survive elimination even though his performance was horrible yesterday! It was a bit of a shock that he isn’t gone.
