The sweetheart of Seattle, Jordin Sparks, is already a winner; Sparks won the Arizona Idol competition sponsored by Phoenix, Arizona news station Fox 10. With that win she not only received a trip to Seattle to audition for American Idol but a new Ford Focus.
When asked about her love of music, Sparks says “I can’t remember a time when I didn’t like to sing! I was singing along to the radio even before I understood the meaning of words, and my family had a hard time keeping me quiet!” Music is in her blood. If you’d like to hear some more of her wonderful voice you can listen to a few Gospel tracks at the Gospel Music Association website.
Sparks is not new to the spotlight; she has been primed to perform from a young age winning many local talent competitions and eventually appearing twice on America’s Most Talented Kids in 2004. Additionally she has performed the national anthem for the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Cardinals, and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Sparks not only has her own website but she has her own Wikipedia entry. She’s really on top of things; I see nothing but success in her future.
