With all the auditions over, Idol went ahead and showed us some more of what made it through to Hollywood. In total, 181 contestants received a golden ticket.
- Jessica Furney, 20, from Wamego, KS. After attempting to get a golden ticket in season 8, she is back again with a make-over and some pipes, singing a song that Simon co-wrote. She received 4 yes’.
- Amanda Shectman, 19, from Roslyn, NY. This girl can actually talk with her mouth shut and does a good Britney impression! She was overly dramatic but still made it through.
- Lee Dewyze, 23, from Mount Prospect, IL
- Crystal Bowersox, 23, from Elliston, OH
- Lacey Brown, 23, from Amarillo, TX. Some may remember her making it last season to the top 50. Hopefully she will go farther this time!
- Rachel Hubbard, 16, from Boerne, TX
- Thaddeus Johnson, 16, from Oklahoma City, OK
- Genesis Moore, 16, from McDonough, GA
- Michael Lynche, 26, from Astoria, NY. He has big muscles!
- Didi Benami, 22, from Hollywood, CA. Her audition was in memory of her friend, Rebeca, who passed away 4 years ago. She has a unique, strong voice, she did really well. She is someone to look out for in Hollywood!
- Aaron Kelly, 16, from Sonestown, PA. The teens and their moms are going to love this guy.
- Hope Johnson, 19, from Arlington, TX. Her sob story was being poor when she was little, so much so that she often went without meals. She had a cute polka dotted skirt on.
Next week is Hollywood Week and we finally get to see how the newest judge, Ellen Degeneres handles being on the panel. By the end of the week, it will be cut down to only 12 girls and 12 boys. Then the fun really beings!
