I don’t know whether to giggle or feel sorry for the girl. She’s doing things that most 19 and 20 year-olds do but she is also in a very serious talent competition and expects to be taken seriously. I don’t know how anyone can take her seriously after seeing these pictures – except of course teenage boys. More pictures were released of Antonella Barba with her top off – yes her breasts are covered but this time she’s also got a hand covering up someone else’s breast. What is it with topless, breast-covering shots Antonella? Is that the new hip thing to do? Who is that she’s getting sexy with on the dance floor? It doesn’t look like her BFF Amanda Coluccio – I wonder if Amanda will be jealous when she sees the picture?
Since we’re on the topic of Antonella Barba I might as well share my opinion of her performance tonight. How can I say this nicely….it was not up to par. She chose an Aerosmith song – she says she wanted to take a risk and not play it safe so chose the song. Unfortunately her risk did not pay off and Simon Cowell predicted “I think this has seriously, seriously damaged your chances of remaining her another week.” Barba, on the verge of tears, asked what she could do better but was just rewarded with jousting between Cowell and host Ryan Seacrest. I’m going to have to agree with Cowell, I don’t think she’ll make it to next week.
