Season 7 of American Idol hasn’t even started and there are already spoilers floating around the web. We’ve got some die-hard fans with serious connections to get spoiler information this early. Joe’s Place over at Idolforums.com put up a list of the Rumored Top 50 Contestants for American Idol season 7. He has kindly requested that the information not be posted anywhere else but that everyone is welcome to link to his site. The list is very thorough for one made this early in the game. Bravo.
So this brings up a new topic – what do you think of spoilers? Are you a die-hard fan who wants to know everything about American Idol the minute it happens? Perhaps you are more patient and like to watch the action unfold before your eyes. I’m kind of a bit of both and it really depends on the show. With American Idol I really look forward to the spoiler information. I like going into the show knowing a bit of what is to be expected with regards to contestants and outcomes. However with some of my other reality shows I prefer not to have spoiler information; I get so bad that I won’t even open a web browser until I’ve seen the show for fear that the information will be on page one of a site I go to. Yes…I am weird.
Back to American Idol Season 7; the season start date is a few short weeks away. I am definitely looking forward to the excitement of the season. I’m curious if it will be more of the same or if they’ll do something unique. Last year’s Idol Gives Back was a great addition to the show, it would be nice to see a similar idea this year.
